Eve Celebration With Luminarias

The tradition of Luminaria lining the sidewalks of Sun City West on
Christmas Eve is quite a sight to see. Thousands of white bags, lit with a long-lasting candle, unite the
community in welcoming the baby Jesus. It’s become an annual treat to drive around and look at this wonderful
scene. The SCW PRIDES for the eighth year in a row, in conjunction with Bob’s Variety Store, are
proud to offer again this year the luminary kits so you can participate. A kit contains 12 white bags, 12 candles,
12 candle holders, sand and instructions and cost just $7 each. Bob’s Variety provides the ingredients and
the SCW PRIDES constructs and distributes the kits.
Kits will be on sale at Bob’s Variety, beginning October 26th. The PRIDES will be in front of Bob’s Variety, corner of R. H. Johnson and Camino del Sol beginning November
28th until December 24th, Monday through Saturday from 10:009:30 am to 4:00 pm.
